How to fix slime?
Slime can become sticky due to enduring heat during transit, or simply breaking down over time. This can be easily fixed. In every order we include a 1/2 Tablespoon packet of borax powder, and an instruction QR card. Follow the directions on this page to restore the slime to its desired texture. Make sure store the solution in a marked container for future use.
Do not ever add the powder directly into the slime.
Slime can get cold and harden a little in colder environments and to various other reasons. If this happens try letting the slime warm up naturally in your home, with the lid still on. If your home is in a cold environment you may need to heat the slime up in your hands. If this doesn’t work:
For white glue slimes
Add a unscented lotion in there until the slime softens to your desired textures.
Another option is to keep the slime near a heater until it’s soft enough.
If you can just keep it in your hands to heat it up, this can be therapeutic as well as help the slime.
For clear based slimes
Do not add lotion. This will make your slime cloudy.

Supplies for slime are hard to get internationally, especially so in the U.K, as well as work space.
How to play with slime?
Each slime has a different way to be played with, as a general rule for slime if you poke your fingers quickly the slime will not stick to your hands. Slime should be handled relatively quickly but there are a few textures that allow for slower use. Examples are given on my Youtube, instagram and tik tok pages of some ways to play with them. I do not recommend playing with slime for extended periods of time as the slime will shrink.
MUST DO WITH SLIME:
- wash your hands before and after playing with slime. If slime comes into contact with any food particles it’ll melt and can mould.
- Never leave slime exposed to extreme temperatures- nothing too hot or too cold.
- Clean every surface before using it to play with slime. Ideally one that doesn’t come into contact with food ever.
- Slime will expire and deflate over time but to make your slime last a little longer don’t inflate it too often.
- Never leave the lid of your slime off when you’re not using it. Your slime will dry out and shrink. If you play with slime for hours at a time your slime can dry out as it is exposed to constant air.
For how to handle it:
Treat the slime like it’s hot: keep it moving, do not let it rest on your fingers or in one place for too long or it can stick to you, if you keep it moving and use semi fast actions with it you will not find this to be as much of an issue. Some textures are more beginner friendly and will stick less like candyland cream for example, as this is a denser texture .
How to look after slime?
After playing with your slime, immediately return the slime back into its airtight container and close the lid properly. Slime dries out when left on surfaces or played with for hours at a time.
Clear slimes fog up over time due to natural oils from your hands mixing in with the product. They also get air bubbles after use but the bubbles disappear when left for a week or more.
You must wash your hands before every slime use, if food or food grade items come into contact with slime the slime will go bad.How to make borax water activator:
Mix the borax included to a 1 cup of warm water.
DO NOT add borax powder directly to slime and do not consume slime, borax powder or activator.
Do not add the entire solution of borax in. Your slimes do not need it. Add the activator very gradually. Most slimes will barely need any borax water to revive it. You need to add it little by little, mix it for 3-5 minutes, then assess if you need more. Do not add it too quickly without mixing or it can harden. If you add the powder directly to the slime or too much borax water your slime will be ruined.
All slime goes sticky over time, this is a perfectly normal thing for your slime to do! Different textures are affected differently. Cloud slimes and clay slimes tend to break down slower than clear slimes.
If you have a clear slime it is important to make sure your borax water is clear before adding it to the slime. Clear slime goes cloudy over time but to keep it clear initially make sure to make a fresh activator batch each time you activate it.
What does pre-ordering slimes mean?
It means we, as a small new business, can gage how little/much interest there is in the products. We will make the slimes after the order has been placed. We expect to ship out these orders around two weeks after the order is placed and then there will be shipping time on top of this. This means your slime will be as fresh as possible.
